I believe there is a reason for everything—big or small—that happens in life. I remember the first time I heard The Mowgli’s: San Francisco was faintly playing on the radio as I was driving home from the airport last May. For some reason, the lyrics stayed in my mind until the next day when I found myself repeating them over and over again in my mind. So I decided to google them and see what song it was, and from that moment on I fell in love with this band.
This past year has been very difficult for me. Long story short, my family was torn apart by my parents’ divorce. To hide from the drama and pain I stay in my room for the most part. Life became a whole lot easier ever since I started listening to Waiting for the Dawn. I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t listen to this album. My friend asked me one day if I would like to go to a music festival with her in Sterling Heights, MI. I said yes, not really knowing who would be there. When I got there, I learned The Mowgli’s would be there. Needless to say, I FREAKED out. (You probably remember me as the girl following all of you around all night.. I’m not creepy, I promise! I’m just a huge fan)
So, the point of this post is to say that your music has given me patience, understanding and, above all, happiness. I showed your music to all of my friends, knowing that any hard time they encounter can be made a little easier by the push of the ‘play’ button. Thank you for everying :)
